The Condos and Townhouses of the Portmore Hospital and Medical Knowledge City, are three gated sub communities within the overall development site.
The CayJam Luxuries are Spacious Condos (3 Bedroom, 3 Baths w/Lock-Off) will be developed opposite the proposed Portmore International Hospital and Medical Center separated by man-made lakes, occupying some 15 acres. Approximately 150 units in 8 separate 3 and 4-storey condominium blocks will be constructed in the first phase of the development, with penthouses occupying the top floor of each building.
The modern, state-of-the-art hospital will create a demand for short and long term accommodation in the area. In recent years the health care industry has increasingly encouraged patients to spend less time in hospital beds and more time as out patients, this will translate into increasing demand for short term accommodation around major hospitals.
There are two sets of town houses, each in its own gated area. One set of Townhouses known as the CayJam Regencia, is a mix of spacious (2-Beds/2-Baths - 1100 sq ft) and (3-Beds/2-Baths 1400 sq ft units), will be positioned to the north of the property providing easy access to all areas of the development. These units come with amenities including central air conditioning, hot water, kitchen appliances, and renewable energy systems. They are considered luxury units and are excellent accommodations and investment particular for medical professionals. A limited number of these units will be constructed in the first phase of the development and medical professionals, particularly nurses - more so those that will or expected to work in the hospital, are encouraged to secure units now.
The other of Townhouses (CayJam Villas) are also smaller and come only in 2-bedroom/2bath configurations - 900 sq ft, and are priced lower than the ones for the staff of the hospital. CayJam Villas do not include all the amenities, but are available as up-sell fixtures and appliances. These are primarily for qualified persons that can meet NHT requirements and agree to adhere to the covenants of the development in order to maintain the atmosphere and high quality ambience of the Medical City.
